Noora KykkänenFor Noora, dancing Brazilian Zouk is a full body YES:She started dancing Brazilian Zouk with the guidance of Freddy Marinho & Andressa Castelhano in 2011 and it rocked her world. Noora is still their committed student, attending fundamentals to advanced classes on a weekly basis.The journey has taken her all over the world social dancing, attending numerous festivals, J&J competitions and intensive trainings. She has studied with many renowned international teachers and spent several months training in Brazil over the years.  Noora was one of the first ones to join the Rio Zouk Style Team in 2013 and has performed with the group at Helsinki Zouk Festivals 2014 – 2018, as well as Prague Zouk Congress in 2014.  She is teaching Zouk classes and workshops regularly in Helsinki. ADDITIONAL EXPERIENCE:Noora started dancing in a folk dance company “Villet ja Veerat” when she was 9 years old. The group trained both Finnish and Hungarian traditional dances, performed actively in Finland and was invited to perform in more than 20 folk dance festivals around the world during the period of 1996 to 2006.Besides Zouk, Noora’s recent dance experience consists of ballet, contemporary dance, Argentinian tango and Samba de Gafieira.Fascinated about embodiment, learning and how people connect with each other, she has studied e.g. yoga and dance pedagogy (25 ects, University of the Arts Helsinki), and holds MA in communications.
